Let us introduce you to our latest cohort for our CRL Accelerator starting this month. Over four months, the intensive and hands-on innovation programme focuses on product and business development. Support for the cohort includes access to industry-leading mentors, an experienced product development team, and introductions to suppliers and manufacturers.
From revolutionary tyre technology to sustainably farmed seaweed, each business taking part in the accelerator seeks to generate transformative positive impacts in their industries. Learn more about the cohort below.
The UK government funds this project through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
Cohort:
Hanson Cheng, Co-founder and CEO, Hugo Richardson, Co-founder and Kristof Hayes, Electronics and Software Engineer, The Tyre Collective
The Trye Collective is developing the first on-vehicle device to capture tyre wear – the second largest microplastic pollutant in our oceans and a major source of air pollution. Their patent-pending technology uses electrostatics and airflow to capture tyre wear and other non-exhaust emissions (NEEs: tyre/brake/road wear) as they are produced right at the wheel.
Annelise Brbora, COO and Jamie Hutchinson, CEO Cordon Technologies Ltd
Cordon technologies are pioneering a shift in pesticide spraying by rethinking the basics, enabling low-power, high-precision application. Their technology doesn't just mitigate problems—it offers tangible cost savings and ensures a greener, more efficient future. They are developing a precision smart sprayer for agricultural pesticides, initially focusing on the vineyard market.
"The CRL accelerator team and mentors are highly experienced and really understand the challenges that innovative hardware founders experience. We are very excited to work with them on prototyping, testing, and further developing our revolutionary technology."
Erwann Lompech Leneveu, Co-founder and COO and Alan Jurnet-Berteloot, Co-founder and CTO, E-Nano
E-nano is combining cutting-edge robotics and AI to enhance professional sports playing surfaces. Through automated analysis and real-time data-driven recommendations, they reduce costs, resource use and player injury whilst improving sustainability and performance.
"2024 is a pivotal moment for E-Nano, as we embark on a scaling phase aimed at delivering a substantial number of robots to clients worldwide. We're pleased to be part of the CRL Accelerator, which will guide us in enhancing our manufacturing capabilities to achieve our goals."
Josef Chen, Co-founder, David Sharp, CEO and Co-founder and Ivan Tregear, Founding Engineer, KAIKAKU
KAIKAKU is creating Quick-Service-Restaurants that are scalable as SaaS. They develop Robotics and AI to augment the restaurant workforce's productivity and serve consistent, healthy, and delicious food to consumers at scale.
"I'm thrilled to start the CRL Accelerator program, to work with some great engineers, and hopefully learn more about industrial design. We look forward to mastering the art of scaling our prototypes and refining the aesthetics and functionality for optimal user experience." - Ivan Tregear, Founding Engineer, KAIKAKU
Ece Feliz, Founder and Director and Juan Vazquez Ruiz Idaho Jones

Joyeeta Das, CEO and Co-founder, Alex Facey, CTO and Co-founder and Zach Mudge, Strategy Officer, Samudra Oceans
Sustainably farmed seaweed is food, feed, biomaterial, and a habitat for biodiversity, as seaweed can also capture up to 20x more carbon than terrestrial trees. It’s an exciting solution in both climate and nature emergencies. Samudra Oceans is using robotics and AI to scale seaweed farming.
"It is fantastic to be part of a growing community of hard-tech innovators and entrepreneurs and carry on with our journey as a cohort, all the while learning from seasoned mentors."
