Raising Your First Seed Round
Raising a first seed round is one of the most exciting milestones in the life of a startup. However, this challenge often comes with anxiety, unexpected hurdles and uncertainty. This intensive two-day innovation programme will give you the tools and knowledge to successfully raise your first round of investment.
This project is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
This two-day programme connects startups with business mentors, a pitch coach, fellow startup founders and investors. Across the programme you will:
- Learn how to get your investment strategy right
- Work on the content and the look and feel of your investment deck
- Put together and practice an effective pitch
- Learn all the tips and tricks on how to successfully raise investments
- Pitch to investors and get feedback from them
Eligibility
To be eligible for selection you must be:
- Startup Founder, CEO or leadership role
- A business or founder operating in London
- Raising up to £500k in equity funding
- Available to attend the full programme
- Able to complete forms (in-line with our funding partner requirements)
This BOOST programme will have a hybrid format: the first day will be entirely delivered online, whereas the second day will be delivered in person at the Central Research Laboratory in Hayes, West London.

Funding Details
The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025.
